So, I didn't have stuff to do on Halloween night. And then I read Dark Trails [link] from the now officially multigenre-ically talented Sister-to-the-Queen [link] !
So, this is fanart to the First Chapter.
Azi and Crowley setting out to try and stop an urban-legend-come-to-life --- which seems just as impossible as a Crusade back in the middle ages --- hence the title.
Oh, and in the background? What's floating there? Here's a little pointer: "Over a dozen children gone missing in under a fortnight, no-one's seen or heard anything, police can't find a trace, they're just gone! They're gone, and they're dead, because that's what urban legends do! They kill things!" Oh, and their faces? Well, Dark Trails is a crossover with Slendy, after all. Why not take away the kids' faces on the picture? Sure, great idea. Not scary at all that they still inhabit my imagination...
Aaand... for all the British out there, I hope I could do your island some justice.

Okay, you got me. The faceless ghost children floating in the background are creepy. (They remind me of a certain film I saw long ago, but I can't remember what it was. Or was it a computer game... I have it! Alma, from F.E.A.R.!) And the fact that they all look different makes it even creepier. Eeeeep.
I think the map looks great! (*looks at the dots all in a circle* Mweeheeheeeee...)
Now for the central part. I really, really like what you've done here. As usual, you've selected one of the key moments of the chapter. Aziraphale really has this 'Please, calm down, it'll be okay' thing going, hands on Crowley's shoulders and everything, and Crowley's just radiating 'upset'. Neat! (And yay! You've made Aziraphale visibly pudgy! My headcanon is appearing!)
Just two questions, because I'm curious: why do Aziraphale's wings look more ghostly than Crowley's, and - because this is something one never sees - why is Aziraphale taller? *tips head in eagerness*
