Description

Brilliant Dark Star.

Firestar.

Novae.

Who would shine, he must burn.

____
^This wanted to be the short, powerful version.
ˇThis is the more detailed description:

So a dear friend asked me a few months ago to draw her a picture to upload to her dev.ID. Well, I ended up planning for months and painting for only a few hours... and i am fervently hoping she likes the outcome.

So. You cornered me with my own wordings and asked me to draw a brilliant dark star. And I told you I loved your wordings as well, so I used the idea of a firestar as well. And here the shining it contains is cracking the dark firestar from the inside, wanting to break out, and soon it will explode so that all teh world can see... I'm afraid we're back to Novae :) But of course, as this picture shows: ..."Who would shine, he must burn." ...

Oh wow you remembered that quote from Lucebert!

Oh for... *taps own skull* What am I saying! Of course you remembered! It's you I'm talking to, after all.

Aaaaaarghfjkm. *bouncy* *kickety-kick* This? This is absolutely magnificent. A brilliant dark stary, cracking, because it can't possibly go on containing the holy fire within. And do you know what the uncanny part is? It looks almost exactly the way I imagined it would, months ago. Which, to be honest, does not surprise me in the slightest.

You, my dear, have done a perfect job. I am in awe. And yes. "Who would shine, he must burn." And I can't help but wonder... Who exactly, besides me, did you have in mind as you painted this?

(Also, isn't wording influence exchange the greatest?)

On to look at the next ones now, and take my decision!
